Mine Rescue Train the Trainer



Our Mine Rescue Train the Trainer course is our only in-class training program. This course is typically held in Edmonton or Fort McMurray. The course is free - students are responsible for travel, accommodations and meals.

Individuals Registering For the Course Must:

  • Work directly for an Alberta Mine Safety Association member company.
  • Have valid Supervisor Education Program certificate (SEP).
  • Have current Alberta Mine Rescue certification.
  • 3 years minimum experience as active Mine Rescue Team member or emergency response experience.
  • Valid Medical First Responders certification or higher.

Option to Challenge the Course:

Individuals with NFPA 1041 Level 1 with proof of certification will be able to challenge the course providing they pass the written exam, meet the above criteria and complete a presentation on a specified topic.
