Alberta mine supervisors must be familiar with OHS Act, Regulation, and Code components that apply to the work performed at their site. Successful completion of the Alberta Mine Safety Association's Supervisory Education Program is recognized by Alberta OHS as meeting the requirements of the Act (Part 1, Section 3, (1(d)), verifying that a supervisor/manager is knowledgeable in applicable health and safety regulations for their area of responsibility as identified by the company.
Certificates are awarded to candidates after successful completion of the 4 modules and final exam. The course typically takes 4-6 hours to complete.
Upon purchasing the course or using a voucher, students will have 3 months to complete the course and 3 attempts at the final exam.
