• Where are the fire extinguishers mounted?
We mount the extinguishers on both sides of the dozer, depending on the model either by the fuel tank or on the deck above the blade light.
• Are they mounted vertically or horizontal?
All mounts are vertical.
• Are you using custom made or standard manufactured mounting brackets?

• How are the brackets secured, bolted or welded?
Brackets are welded to the deck.
• Do you use stored pressure or cartridge operated extinguishers on your dozers?
We use stored pressure (20lbs) on all of our equipment.

For the hand held bottles there are a couple of factory options, for the larger fire suppression tanks the recommended (and only practical position that does not impact the ROPS certification? Is the rear of the fenders, we have hundreds of units in service with this field proven location. Cat offer a standard 469-8450 bracket. The 20Lb are low cost, especially the bracket, most customers buy a quality bracket and extinguisher, and they have them on a set inspection and replacement interval, including the brackets.

Do you use stored pressure or cartridge operated extinguishers on your dozers? Stored Pressure. The automatic Fire Suppression system is cartridge operated.
- - Fire extinguisher brackets are mounted on LH side of cab to the ROPS and RH side of engine compartment.
- They are mounted vertically on all units
- As the photos show bracket designs are different on some units. Brackets that have been damaged or replaced are custom made. Original brackets are standard manufactured mounting brackets.
- Original brackets are welded to the ROPS system with a supplemental bracket bolted to the original brackets. Engine compartment brackets were originally welded. Most have been replaced at some point and are now either welded or bolted on.
- We use cartridge operated extinguishers on all units.
