Social Distancing in Dry's due to COVID

What is your organization doing in your Dry’s to address social distancing due to COVID-19?

1) We have instituted a program whereby the operators are transported directly from the gate to their equipment on buses restricted to 15 people or less.
2) We aren’t doing anything specific for the dry’s but we have been focusing on social distancing across the asset (especially at camps).
3) We are staggering the shift start with the mine: Ore, waste, services, maintenance to reduce the congestion. This also helps with the logistics of moving people to the work front. Within the dry we are dividing up areas to use alternate exits as well.
4) Each situation is a little bit different so different methods are being used which include but are not limited to the following:
-Tables and chairs removed from the dry to prevent gathering. Operators immediately drop off belongings in lockers (i.e. phones), take their paperwork and proceed to designated transportation out to the field. Volume of worker traffic is monitored to maintain physical distance between personnel (>2Metres)
- Bus transportation has reduced the number of passengers allowed / staggered seating on buses
- Closed designated smoking areas to prevent gathering
- Outgoing shift must board passengers on outgoing bus and leave before incoming shift can offload passengers at the dry. This is done to prevent gatherings
- Daily Safety Meetings are being conducted over the radio as opposed to in the dry
- Fixed facilities are splitting up groups or holding meetings in larger areas that allow for increased spacing
- Dry’s are cleaned and sanitized daily after each shift
5) We are small enough to stay under the 15 person max as long as we keep our maintenance and operations staggered for shift change. We have maintenance coming in 30 minutes after operations and only running 11.5hr shift instead of the full 12hrs so the cross shift has already left the building before the next crew comes in.
6) - Transitioned all of our meetings to Microsoft Teams
- All non-essential staff are working remotely
- Toolbox talks are being completed via 2-way radio. Supervisors still compete fitness for duty checks at the beginning of each shift.
- Provided employees with company supplied busing
