• Below are our standards.
Standard guard distances:
Coal and overburden blasts:
200m in all directions
Cast blasts:
800m in the direction of the blast
400m to the sides of the blast
300m on the back side
• No equipment will be within 300 meters of the blast pattern. 500 meters clearance for all personnel, Blaster included.
• Our standard clearances are 300m for equipment and 700m for personnel.
• 300 meters for Equipment, and 600 meters for personal.
• 300 meters for Equipment, and 500 meters for personal.
