Are you using GMI wheels on your haul trucks? How are the GMI wheels performing? If you are using GMI wheels have you completed any comparisons between GMI and RIMEX wheels?
- Our mine only uses Rimex
- we know the GMI group and do some work with them.
They placed some wheels in BC but customer has gone back to Rimex
We are aware of them and we support them in some small OTR both in some mines and in our store commercial as well as some agricultural wheels
Before we switched to GMI we would want a controlled evaluation
Rimex has over 20 years experience in oilsands proven track record (we know what we have)
Wheel fatigue from steel flux Rimex has learned this – not all wheels are the same
We have just replaced a larger portion of the Rimex-63” Rims, and are happy with the performance for sure.

- Our best performance has been seen in the Rimex and Topy Wheels. Although the upfront cost is slightly higher, we find through reconditioning the life improves
